Laila.. This Summer.. In Chennai
Yes, it is true.. the name, place and time are perfectly correct that you heard it as in here. Its a cyclone name that hit the Indian Southern coasts this hot summer. Surprised with the naming convention of it? The same was with me as well.. The origin of the name has got its own story here.

A few days back when i was spending my idle time on the web/social-networking place i saw a few tweeters writing about unbelievable rains in Hyd and I started missing Hyd all of a sudden but then i was wishing for the same rains in Chennai, in parallel.
Lucky that i was heard and not in more than a few hours i saw rain drops falling on my head. And before i started rejoicing to the full, it stopped.. i was sad and went to bed like usual. Before i fell asleep to the full we had a power cut and lightnings and thunders and cool breeze replacing the sound of my age old fan in the bed room.. It rained quite great that night and the morning sun slept for longer i believe for he dint show up by the time i left for my office.. i was clearly happy to see that cooled weather where I dint have to think of the bothersome humidity/moisture all day long... I was so glad that i started sharing about the cooled weather with every one who i talked to on phone. Not before every one was happy about this, the news came the ears of every person including me that it was not the untimely rains but a cyclone named LAILA... strange! Didn't know how worse it would be as time grows but the roads in Chennai in and around the place i live became the dirtiest i could see in the last 4 months and now the news channels show up what Laila could do in the past couple of days and its now going ahead to hit coastal AP..
Fingers crossed.. wish there be no damage any more. Now i stop rejoicing at the cool weather and start praying that i am not disturbed this weekend while i finish watching my long awaited IronMan2... Guys and gals traveling home to AP this weekend, please be careful. Carry an umbrella or the substitutes before you regret that you are drenched in the rain.. Cheers
