Munna chale a"MERI"ca

a Bore ding that did all

It was 28th september 2008 which was one strange day in my day which did leave me in a confusion not making me aware if i shud be rejoicing or worrying abt the upcoming time ahead.... It was my date of travel from India to US...
MUNNAAAA CHALE
 AMERICAAAAA

The struggle to make the survival did start a week ago the date above when the MOM n DAD came to take over the control... Lovely mom, Caring dad landed in Hyd jus to prepare the kid for the make his leap a real giant one. It was the kid's travel from India to US...the first step that did come to action was preparing the check list for all the hip hop shopping... the kid was elated to have many new things all around him. Let it be the carry cases or the eatables or dresses or what not.... One long drive for shopping to have a good shaping for the travel of the kid across the oceans...It was sep 28 when the mom and dad did leave their delicate darling at the International airport, Hyd... His friends came for a send off and there was a couple of hours of merry making and loads of photos in the shortest session by then.... (Astonishing part of the story is that the kid is an employee of a renowned Indian MNC now on a business trip to US...). It was 12 o' clock in the night when the whole crowd of cheerful people decided to let the kid to CHECK IN... now that the kid has moved a lil away from the parents he has grown up in not more than a few seconds, for he is his own friend, guide , philosopher, mom, dad and what not, for all long the journey...
From then started the chain of startling events all long the ride...First one was at checking in the baggage.. it was known in before hand that 2 check in baggages each one weighing not more than 23 kg would be allowed.. with tension at the extremes in every inch of his mind and thoughts the kid was shocked to see the digital display showing 42 Kg when the baggage was put on the scale.. He was shocked not knowing what all items he shud be leaving behind before making the travel.. biting his teeth, praying to god was the petty kid during when a idea striked his mind bringing him to senses to realise that the 42 was not of 1 baggage but of 2... "Hammayya.. thank God" was the line uttered by then...
Then did happen the security check and moved to the departure gate with no bug hurdles. Opened a yaak lappy to make use of the 45 min free WiFi internet available... minutes before the access got closed the battery ran out of charge and then did start his hot hot mobile calls to frens all round the globe...Clock did strike 2 AM and then was the call to BOARD the flight and he jus got into to find his seat and started thinking how to fall asleep and did make thru..
Hours passed and Flight did land in Qatar... it was time to catch a connecting flight... Not knowing where he would get lost before he makes his way he jus did keep following the co passenger jus assuming that they are also making their way to US and the idea worked... Seats comforted with a TV and joystick for games and lots of cartoon movies did elate the kid once again and hours passed with acceptable amount of diffculty in having the food of the Qatar airlines and killing the time jus thinking what movie to watch next...
More than half a day passed and now the Flight did land in WashingTON, Dullas Airport, where the grown up kid did fill the immigration sheet for I 94 which when submitted did leave him a shock, for he was questioned for the first time ever in his life "Where are you and to whom are you going to Work?"... with joy in his eye he did proudly reply the immigration officer about the details and did make his move to get his CHECKED IN luggage... It was around 2 PM in the afternoon when he did receive his baggage from the carousel... Now it is time to carry that huggggeeeeeeeee luggage to check in counter to catch the next flight to RI
The grown up kid did pull out all the needed docs to his hand along with the BOARDING pass which did say that the boarding time was at 10:50 PM and the flight departure was 11:05 PM. Moving all around the available points in the airport the kid did killl his time jus to wait to see the clock to strike 10:50 PM so that he can go ahead....People had to take a shuttle to move from the main gate to the gate of departure and not knwing about this step in his journey the kid kept counting minutes for the time to go 10:50 PM. The clock now did strike 10:50 PM and now he rushed to have his security chek done where he did face a sreious problem which was deemed serious as he dint have anything more than 12 min by then... with all gadgets removed and put for scanning the kid got beeps cming again and again when he passed thru the Scan gate... he was asked to move back and get in again and again and the beeps kept coming with no miss... now the kid is panic not knowing how to buy time...then the intelligent security office did find out with a smile that the iron buttons on his pant were the hurdle for him to make thru.. with a lot of hard time with a few min he did make up to reach the shuttle and reach the gate of departure jus to know that the flight he was about to BOARD did depart and they did aplogise that they cant stop it, for it was on the runway.. Wasnt it a nice apology?
The kid who was all alone in the place not known didnt know how to show his panicing... he was running short of tears too... Jus like an angel did appear a lady who did ask the lady abt what all happened and after knowing that the reason for missing the flight to be security, with pity and with care she did take the kid to the nearest customer care counter to get his flight rescheduled... Jus like a small syllabus the kid got a sheet of instructions which shud be followed in order that he shud make his move and catch the next flight with no miss...The flight was on the next morning 8 AM.. So another additional 10 hrs of waitng... with the happiness that he kid got while his flight was rescheduled, the waiting didnt seem to be any pain... Next morning the kid make his reach to the gate in time and departed on time...
Did you ever wonder why did the kid miss the flight though he had an 8 hr waiting?.. It was all bcos of his appreciable innocence which rendered him incapable of knowing the real meaning of "BOARDING TIME". The kid never knew that anytime before boarding time people can reach the gate of departure... Tht was a very nice learning for him... Now that the experience did bring ample awareness the kid did remain no more a kid but he did seem a lil more than bold and was so bold that with no second thought or worry he did make his way to find his baggage which reached US before he did....
29 Sep,2009 the kid reach RI and was found to be happy to see his team mates coming to receive him with warm wishes on their own Ferrari....

That was the KID's travel from INDIA to US in short where expressions did find no words to get described...
Now should i be proud to say that i was the Kid or be ashamed of accepting that?

Keep watching the space...
