PuLi - the floWER STAR

Note: This posting has been attempted to imitate the way gsmarena.com introduces a quick view of a new mobile launched in the market.

Introduction

Its been quite long, nearly close to a couple of years that we have been hearing about the movie titled as PULI.. Anxiety of fans has never been less all through the time since the name was heard for the first time till the time it showed up on screen this 10 Sep 2010. 'Lucky' I did call myself when I was in Bangalore and got chance to watch the movie on the day of the release though not for the first show of the day. Couple of hours before the show I saw my friend stuck before the TV screen at home where we did have not much time to rush to the show. Of course, interesting was the thing that was being played on the movie... ewww... it was a news topic on the movie that we were about to watch in another hour or so.It was all about removing the name KOMARAM from the title of the movie where the real intended name was KOMARAM Puli... Well, it was quite a controversial topic going on where funny arguments about FOR having the name same and AGAINST having the same name could be heard.. With a lil or no time we did rush  to the theater which was so called classy kind. We were jus a min late but then we did miss no action part that Pa1 (Pavan Kalyan) did perform for on screen. There was hardly any silence expected all along the movie but believe me, there was ample silence where people lost their mood cos of not seeing what they were likely to expect. Ok! no more talk abt what i did experience. Lets rush in to see what conclusions can be drawn about the movie.

Key Features:

  • The movie is a regular 2+ hours show.
  • Pa1 looks really gentle in all his dressing and attires.
  • The star casting was not a heavy list except for it carried Pa1
  • The movie has regular count of songs that are expected in an Indian Movie
  • You have a regular Vilan who has a rich background and bla bla bla
  • Was released with a nice controversy in the title and helped in get a lil hipe.
My personal liking in the movie was the instant when Pa1 asks it from the dias to the audience over there "When will we be able to feel proud to tell that our son/daughter is studying in India rather than speaking airs about they being in US/UK or bla bla..." Loved it the most..

Disadvantages:
  • Watching it in a Multiplex like PVR or the like is a whole of stupid expenditure
  • Heroic deeds are above the heights of justification
    • Hero jumps from a helicopter
    • He is a one man prevention for an assisination
    • etc
  • Hero is a bad listener all through the movie (can be found in any long conversation whilst the movie)
  • Rahman did put in his magic at all into the movie audio
  • Hero was either over the limits of being a hero or was more vulnerable to have a simple climax
  • Hero appears more like multiple personality disorder as felt by people when he is seen at workplace on one side and at personal life on the other side.

Over all, we were a bunch of friends who went to watch the movie and none in the mixed crowd had easy time watching the movie. It was a real big task of appreciation that we failed to accomplish. No sooner we did come out of the theater than we called a couple of frens who were a clear fans of Pa1, all we got to hear from one - 'as a fan, i can say that the movie is nice' and the other one - 'if it is about Puli, please dont talk about it. It is one of the worst movies that Pa1 has bagged in his career'.  etc etc..

Jokes didnt stop floating in SMS, Buzz, Twitter etc about the movie. One such SMS that we can share can be found here

If not we want to be called Anti-Fans for the movie or the Hero we got no recommendations against the movie.

Regardless of what the web or the people who watch the movie, say you gotta watch it all at your own risk and make your opinions. If you have anything hilarious, please dont step back to share with us.

NOTE: the title of this blog is not my own at all.. It was suggested by one of the frustrated audience.

Hmmm. I liked Pavan Kalyan in only one movie - Khushi. Almost all his other movies are, I would say, less than average. You wrote this in great detail, I don't think I've ever seen a movie dissected this way.

Good goin, dude! ;-)
